ABOUT

Anchor Counselling and Therapy Ltd was founded by Jacqueline France in 2020 to enable adults living on the Isle of Man prompt access to psychological therapies for the treatment of many different mental health disorders.

The aim of Anchor Counselling and Therapy Ltd is to offer choice in relation to interventions and to have the client’s needs at the centre of any agreed treatment plan. Depending on the presenting issue, all treatment options and timeframes as recommended  by NICE guidelines will be considered at an assessment appointment to mutually agree the most appropriate intervention in line with evidence based practice.

I first came to the island late 2016 under a locum contract. I fell in love with the island so I applied for a permanent role with the Community Mental Heath Team for Adults. I continue to work for the DHSC on a part-time basis..  Initially, I shall be working on a private basis on a Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday.

In my early career, I served for 9 years in the Women's Royal Navy so I have knowledge and experience of military life.  I also have a wealth of experience in working with military based PTSD from working at Combat Stress (2012-2013) and MOD Departments of Community Mental Health, Colchester, Faslane and Plymouth 2013-2016.
